Viscous and mouth-coating. Even better now on the palate. Plenty of berries, figs and sultanas again, even sweeter than on the nose. Again those caramelised bananas like on a bananas fosters. Bittersweet orange peels coated in chocolate. As the nose suggested, heather honey and minerality bring the spirit character. There is a thick, cloying richness to this, makes me feel like I can't drink too much all at once. Then the tannins appear with dark roast coffee and cigar box. The spice then hits, with some fresh cracked black pepper and hints of chilli warmth. Right at the end I get a good amount of sweetness with vanilla coating the palate.
