Sweet meets spice in this distinctive expression from Jack Daniel’s experimental Distillery Series. Tennessee Rye Whiskey is first matured in new charred white oak barrels, then finished in Jack Daniel’s barrels previously used to mature Southern-style table syrup.
The result brings together rich caramel sweetness, warming rye spice and a molasses finish, with the intensity of a barrel-proof bottling.
Selected by whiskey taster Byron Copeland, Selection No. 016 offers a distinctive addition to a Jack Daniel’s collection. Originally released exclusively within Tennessee, including the White Rabbit Bottle Shop in Lynchburg, its unusual finishing process gives collectors another chapter in the Distillery Series to chase.
