Maker’s Mark The Lost Recipe Series Edition 01 is a Limited Edition special release, featuring a captivating journey into the heart of bourbon innovation and heritage.
At the core of The Lost Recipe Series is Maker’s Mark’s pioneering wood finishing process, allowing for the exploration of unique bourbon expressions. This process involves the development of a custom barrel recipe with 10 hand-selected wood staves, a tradition that has enabled close friends and family of Maker’s Mark to create their own versions of the signature bourbon. The Lost Recipe Series resurrects recipes from the Private Selection program, crafted with a retired stave, each offering a distinct tasted profile that have never been made or tasted before.
This is the First Edition of the Series, released in 2024 and features the return of the Roasted French Mocha stave for layers of dark chocolate, buttery pastry and notes of baked apple.
    Nose:    Chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon, and banana bread.
    Taste:    Almond, chocolate, cinnamon, caramel, and red fruit.
    Finish:   Medium length and warm, with notes of almond, caramel, cinnamon, and oak.
