Maker’s Mark 46 Cask Strength takes the award-winning Maker’s Mark 46 recipe and elevates it to an entirely new level. Bottled uncut at barrel strength and finished with ten seared French oak staves, this limited expression delivers a richer and more concentrated interpretation of one of Kentucky’s most popular wheated bourbons.
Originally developed after Bill Samuels Jr. experimented with additional French oak finishing, Maker’s Mark 46 became the first major new expression introduced by the distillery in over 50 years. The cask strength version amplifies the signature caramel, vanilla and baking spice character while introducing deeper layers of dark chocolate, roasted almonds, toasted oak and rich dried fruit.
Unlike many high-proof bourbons, Maker’s Mark 46 Cask Strength maintains remarkable balance and smoothness thanks to the distillery’s soft red winter wheat mash bill and extended French oak finishing process.
