A landmark release from Jack Daniel’s — and one that whiskey lovers waited more than a century to see.
Released in 2025, Jack Daniel’s 14 Year Old Batch 1 marked the first time since the early-to-mid 1900s that Jack Daniel’s had offered a whiskey carrying a 14-year age statement. It also became the oldest age-stated Jack Daniel’s released in more than 100 years.
Made from the classic Jack Daniel’s mash bill of 80% corn, 12% malted barley and 8% rye, the whiskey undergoes the traditional Lincoln County Process, mellowed drop by drop through 10 feet of sugar maple charcoal before maturation. Batch 1 is bottled at a huge 126.3 proof (63.15% ABV), allowing 14 years of oak, dark fruit and classic Jack Daniel’s character to come through with remarkable intensity.
NOSE
Deep and powerful with dark cherry, molasses, brown sugar and maple, opening into charred oak, dark chocolate, tobacco and aged leather. Underneath sits a touch of the familiar Jack Daniel’s banana character, now darker and much more mature.
TASTE
Rich, viscous and mouth-coating. Dark chocolate, caramel, nougat and ripe cherry lead into cinnamon, baking spice and seasoned oak. Butterscotch sweetness balances the older, more savoury notes of leather and cigar tobacco, giving the whiskey impressive depth for its 126.3 proof.
FINISH
Long, warming and oak-driven, with dark chocolate, burnt sugar, molasses and mature oak lingering alongside leather, tobacco and spice. A finish that really shows what 14 years inside the barrel can do to classic Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey.
