Nose: Rich and distinctive, offering aromas of cured meats, barbecued beef jerky, clove, mint, iodine, savoury oxo cubes, and tinned prunes—all complemented by Springbank's signature maritime influence.
Palate: A pronounced peat character emerges with notes of sooty kiln smoke and tobacco leaves, balanced harmoniously with prunes, walnuts, dried figs, Demerara sugar, cocoa powder, and smoked meats. The mouthfeel is notably viscous and satisfying.
Finish: Long and evolving, the finish reveals prominent notes of soot, leather, and walnuts before gently fading away
