Said to have been released in just 14,000 bottles within the US, this 2009 vintage of Wild Turkey Tradition Master Distiller Selection 14 Year Bourbon is a truly impressive bourbon! Originally distilled in 1995 and launched in 2009 as part of the acclaimed Master Distiller Selection series, this beautifully crafted dram was hand-picked by Master Distiller Jim Russell. Presented in a substantial wooden box and accompanied by a crafted metallic base on the bottle, the Wild Turkey Tradition 2009 Master Distiller Selection 14 Year is bottled at 101 proof, or 50.5% ABV, and was aged in virgin white oak barrels with the heaviest and most expensive level of charring. Matured in the center cut of Wild Turkey's warehouse, this considered quaff encapsulates the tradition and premium quality Wild Turkey is known for. The nose opens with a halo of honey, syrup, and musty wood over notes of vanilla, cream cheese custard, and cinnamon. On the palate are more layers of honey, hints of maple, and ribbons of caramel paired with cherries, nutmeg, and finely aged leather.
